The M idazolam (MDZ) Rapid Test (Urine) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the detection of M idazolam in urine at a cut-off concentration of 10,000ng/mL.

 

M idazolam is a short-acting benzodiazepine widely used for its sedative, anxiolytic, and amnestic properties. It acts quickly by enhancing the effect of GABA, a neurotransmitter that calms brain activity. Due to its rapid onset and short duration, it is ideal for procedural sedation, pre-operative anxiety relief, and the induction of general anesthesia. Additionally, it is a critical medication for treating acute seizures or status epilepticus in emergency settings. Available in oral, injectable, and nasal spray forms, M idazolam is highly versatile. However, it requires careful monitoring as it can cause respiratory depression, especially when combined with other sedatives.
